ACT 2

wish

And so, once her two stepdaughters were satisfied and she was freed from their abuse, she was made to work all night without rest, following her stepmother’s orders—cleaning rooms, doing laundry, polishing shoes, and more.
When it grew dark, exhausted, she fell asleep in front of the fireplace, covered in ashes.
Her stepmother found her and said,
Stepmother: “Don’t sleep here. You’ll dirty the floor.”
After being told that, she was taken to a tattered attic room.

At that time, I was trying over and over to see if I could help her, but as expected, I couldn’t touch anything in this world—I just passed right through. In the end, all I could do was watch everything unfold.
Afterward, following her, I am now in this tattered attic room.

She was brought to the attic, and after the door was slammed shut, she slumped down on the spot as if all the strength had left her, buried her face in the tattered bed beside her, and began to sob quietly.

“Why, why must I suffer like this?
Father, Mother, I am in pain. How can I be freed from this?”
She whispered in a tiny, fragile voice, like a secret quietly hidden on a moonlit night.
